The purpose of this standard is to ensure that only Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) approved encrypted universal serial bus (USB) drives are used to store sensitive data or personally identifiable information. The requirements outlined in this standard will help DAS OIT technical teams ensure that encrypted USB drives are consistently implemented across the agency.
