Kannan Ramanujam joined DAS in 2018 after serving as Director of Software Development at the Office of the Ohio Attorney General. He began his State of Ohio career as a Software Development Specialist at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services in 2010. His experience at DAS includes leading the implementation of IT operations for the Vaccine Preparedness Office under the leadership of the Ohio Adjutant General, Major General John C. Harris, Jr., and the Ohio Department of Health.

In 2021, Kannan became Chief Operating Officer for the DAS Office of Information Technology’s Infrastructure Services Division, where he oversees data center operations. This includes the Multi-Agency Radio Communication System (MARCS), Network, Storage, Servers, Mainframe, Cloud Brokerage and Engagement, Office 365, Identity Management, Customer Service Center, Business Relationship Management, ServiceNow and Desktop Services teams. As Chief Operating Officer, his focus is on customer engagement and delivering service, support and solutions to state agencies. He provides leadership and guidance for critical operations and initiatives as well as strategies for rate optimization, disaster recovery and the Cloud Smart platform.

Outside of his state career, Kannan served on the Orange Township Economic Development Advisory Board and the Parsons Avenue Redevelopment Corporation.
