Anupam Srivastava

Anupam Srivastava was appointed DAS Chief Information Officer in February 2023 to focus on ensuring efficient IT operations within DAS.
He was previously the state’s chief information security officer (CISO) overseeing the development of technologies, policies, standards, architecture, information, and solutions to enhance the privacy and security of Ohio's data and systems. While serving as CISO, Srivastava implemented the security infrastructure to support a remote/hybrid workforce, rolled out enterprise multifactor authentication, improved the cybersecurity posture of the state and incident response planning efforts, developed numerous enterprise security services that protect against threats and vulnerabilities, partnered with the federal government and other entities to ensure alignment with national security and privacy standards, and supported the adoption of a state cybersecurity apprenticeship program.
DAS CIO Srivastava also served in a variety of other roles at the state, including an agency CISO and a director of infrastructure. In these positions, he was responsible for environments that hosted business critical systems, requiring high availability, and for securing and achieving regulatory compliance for multiple sensitive systems.
Prior to his state service, Srivastava held progressive roles at a large software organization and was in charge of delivering stable and secure product releases. In addition, he led the customer support group with a mission to provide outstanding service.
Srivastava holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical and computer engineering, and earned industry certifications in Information Security (CISSP) and Project Management (PMP).
