Ryan Garber joined DAS as the Assistant Director in August 2021. He also leads the DAS General Services Division.

Prior to joining DAS, Ryan served as the Deputy Director of Operations at the Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM) where he led the divisions of finance, IT, HR, and training.  His work also focused in areas of manager development, goal setting for the agency, and monitoring of the state’s major IT project portfolio. 

Before OBM, he was the Director of Internal Audit for the Attorney General’s Office where he led a team focused on process improvement and compliance.

Ryan has a passion for public service, having also served in numerous audit related roles with the Ohio Auditor of State and OBM prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office. 

Originally from northeast Ohio, he holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts from Malone University in accounting and business administration.
