Project Success Center

The Project Success Center (PSC) is the state of Ohio’s enterprise IT Project Management Office and provides Project Management Office services to the DAS Office of Information Technology. A primary objective of the Project Success Center is to increase IT project management capabilities and maturity across the state in order to drive increasing success in project execution. The Project Success Center accomplishes this mission in a variety of ways.

The Project Success Center serves as the DAS Office of Information Technology’s Project Management Office. In this capacity, the Project Success Center provides a pool of qualified Project Managers to manage projects for DAS/OIT. Typical engagements include infrastructure rollouts and upgrades, services development and implementation, and systems integration and implementation projects. The Project Success Center approaches its project management engagements using a Program and Project Management Practice which includes the use of a project management tool, WorkFront (formerly AtTask), configured to enable the Practice. The Project Success Center’s Program and Project Management Practice, and WorkFront, are focused on core and fundamental program and project management principles and practices that are applicable to a wide array of project types, project management approaches, and implementation strategies. The Project Success Center offers its Program and Project Management Practice, including WorkFront, to other agencies with a need for a structured, fundamentals-based, customizable approach for managing projects. As the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Project Success Center provides guidance, resources, and project management consulting services to agencies. The Project Success Center offers agencies project support through the Ohio Deliverable Based Information Technology Services (ODBITS), contract category of Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), Complex Project Response (CPR) service.  The CPR practice can be implemented proactively or reactively.  The proactive services brings third party advising services throughout the project, with project and subject matter expertise.  The reactive approach offers a third party team to assess the project and create a Corrective Action Plan.
