About Ohio's Disability Inclusion Program
Ohio's Disability Inclusion Program was established on May 23, 2019, by Governor Mike DeWine. In accordance with Executive Order 2019-03D, the mission of ODI is to establish and maintain Ohio as a disability inclusion state and model employer of individuals with disabilities. Under the leadership of James Clinkscale, State ADA Coordinator, ODI launched the Action.Access.Attitude (AAA) for Ohio program to support statewide disability inclusion and talent acquisition initiatives. The AAA program assists State agencies to:
- Identify and eliminate barriers to access, inclusion, and employment
- Increase Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) knowledge
- Enhance disability awareness
- Promote and share hiring best practices and inclusion strategies
State employees have an opportunity to participate in training and related activities to build and sustain a culture of inclusion.
