State and Federal Surplus Services

To help government entities curb costs, State and Federal Surplus Services of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services facilitates the recycling of supplies within government.  Prices are considerably lower than buying new. Nearly half of the surplus items are purchased by another government entity. The remaining items are sold at public auctions.

Due to the continuing situation with COVID-19, State and Federal Surplus Services is suspending all receiving and sales activities until further notice. Web sales pick-ups are by appointment only. Call 614-569-4704 to schedule an appointment.

Pick-up Information: Monday-Wednesday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

The State of Ohio assumes no responsibility for any written, non-written condition or oral statements about inventory items listed above. TERMS: Cash, Credit and Debit cards (Visa, Discover, MasterCard: Only) accepted. Credit and Debit cards accepted with a 3% SERVICE FEE. Purchasers with purchases of less than $25,000 will be required to pay the entire amount due on the date of the sale. Purchasers with total purchases of $25,000 or more shall provide no less than 25% of the total sale the day of auction, and the balance due to the auctioneer no later than 12:00 pm on the first business day following the auction. All items must be removed by Friday at 12 p.m. following the auction. Warehouse will remain open until 5 p.m. on the day of the auction. Certain methods of payment subject to IRS regulations. All participants must register day of auction.

Pick-up Information: Monday-Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Vehicles may be inspected the week before the auction from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and vehicles may be started only on the day before the auction 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Regular Hours of Operation

The regular hours of operation for the warehouse and vehicle lot are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for deliveries/pickup 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Effective immediately, the Surplus Vehicle Lot and Warehouse will close for delivery/receiving Wednesday, the week prior to auction, at noon. Sales will continue through Friday at 3:30 p.m. of that week. No sales or delivery the week of auction and the week after auction.
