The
Ohio Civil Service Employees Association (OCSEA)
The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association, OCSEA, Local 11
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME),
AFL-CIO, has one contract with the State of Ohio. OCSEA also has
separate contracts with other elected officials of the state and
with local governments.
OCSEA represents approximately 35,000 state employees in bargaining
units 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13 and 14. These units include over
1,000 job classifications, including account clerks, administrative
assistants, computer operators, correction officers, customer
service assistants, electricians, equipment operators, food service
workers, highway maintenance workers, hospital aides, industrial
safety inspectors, insurance examiners, maintenance repair workers,
stationary engineers, and therapeutic program workers. All of
the covered job classifications are listed in the contract.
