Partnerships & Resources:
Health Clubs
Health clubs offer a variety of incentives including trial
memberships, discount memberships, free fitness weeks, special
programs and speakers on various topics. Below is a list
of health clubs who have agreed to offer incentives
to state employees. Please contact your local health club
regarding their incentive plans for state employees.
Hospital Partnerships
Hospitals in your area may offer partnerships
with state agencies by providing educational courses covering
such areas as nutrition and weight control, exercise, stress
management and diabetes. Hospitals also can provide healthcare
professionals as guest speakers to discuss topics including
ergonomics, cholesterol and life stressors and situations
as well as women's health and men's health issues. Fitness
education programs along with use of the hospital fitness
center are also available. Please contact your local hospital for partnership opportunities.

and outcome research results are also available.
Weight Reduction
Weight Watchers - Will help groups of employees at various
locations on a weekly basis. Program is 10 weeks in length
and groups of 10 or more are strongly encouraged.
YMCAs, YWCAs and Jewish Community Centers
These nonprofit organizations will participate in free
fitness weeks and offer various incentives for participation.
Each individual YMCA/YWCA operates independently so may
offer a different incentive program than a YMCA/YWCA in
a different community. Dependent on the individual facility,
services include aerobics classes, gymnasiums, exercise
equipment, speakers to come to agency site to discuss exercise,
fitness and nutrition and participate in wellness screenings
