(LRC)

Eligibility: The center is available to all state employees

Learning Objectives

The Learning Resource Training is designed to address needs in developing skills such as reading, writing, math, critical thinking, decision making and/or other core competencies for work in today’s world.

It offices customized online or training focusing on development of a specific skill (or skills) to help the participant’s job performance and to refresh core skills in a variety of topics.

The process uses a combination of training methods such as computer-based, distance learning and one-on-one coaching.  The training allows participants to measure and identify current levels of job-related skills by using state-of-the-art assessments.

The training incorporates individual development plans, designed by the participant, participant’s supervisor and the program manager. In addition, learning contracts assist supervisors in becoming better mentors.
