classified, full-time exempt State of Ohio employees who are
not currently on probation can request a position audit to be
conducted.

A
Position
Audit Request Form (Microsoft Word form) must be
completed and returned to the Office of Classification and Compensation
(OCC) either by email or regular mail. It is important to complete
this form in its entirety and accurately and email it as an
attachment to
Scott.Steenrod@das.state.oh.us.

Once the OCC has received the request and verified
that the employee is an exempt classified full-time employee
a Position Audit Questionnaire (PAQ) will be emailed to employee.

The employee then has thirty days to complete
the PAQ in its entirety and return it to the OCC along with
any additional attachments the employee feels will help justify
their reclassification.

A PAQ will also be sent to the employees Human
Resources Agency Representative to be forwarded to the employees
immediate Supervisor. The Supervisor has fourteen (14) days
to complete the PAQ and return it to the Agency Representative
then has sixteen (16) days to review the PAQ for approval or
to add any additional comments. The Agency Representative will
then forward the PAQ via email to the OCC along with an updated
Position Description of the employee that has been approved
in the last six months.

Once both PAQs have been submitted to the OCC
the PAQs and attachments will be assigned to a Human Resources
Analyst who will then review the forms and contact the employee
and Agency for additional information. The Analysts finding's,
which will be typed in a report, will be reviewed by the OCC
job audit coordinator for approval.
