SUBJECT: HEALTH CARE SPENDING ACCOUNT ENROLLMENT

Some employees are having difficulty enrolling in the Health Care Spending Account via the FlexSave Web or IVR.

If an eligible employee (not currently on probation) experiences difficulty enrolling in either the Web or IVR, they should notify DAS Benefits Customer Service at 1-800-409-1205 (or in central Ohio at 614-466-8857). Employees on probation are ineligible to enroll in the Health Care Spending Account until they have completed their probationary period. For eligible employees unable to enroll in the Health Care Spending Account, please provide Benefits Customer Service with the employees’ first and last name, social security number and election amount.

Customer Service will verify their eligibility and forward information to FlexSave that will allow them to enroll.

The employee should allow 24-48 hours for their eligibility to be entered into the FlexSave system.
