We are pleased to announce that Dave Holbrook has joined the BAS staff in the role of Disability Manager. Dave has served in several supervisory positions, most recently at United Parcel Services and is familiar with the state benefit operations as he brings with him 14 years experience in disability, workers' compensation and other state human resource and payroll functions through his previous state service with the Depts. of Natural Resources and Youth Services. While we are happy to announce the addition of Dave we must also announce the departure of Monica Burke, Benefits Management Representative from our Disability Unit. Monica has accepted another position with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. With Monica’s departure the following claims examiners will now handle her agency claims assignments:
Another change in the disability process is the Disability Case Management partnership we have formed with CompManagement. Carroll Kambly, RN with CompManagement, will be working with our disability examiners, assisting them with the case managing of claims. This will include Carroll making phone contact with employees, employers, and physicians. Please assist Carroll in her process of managing claims.
