Course Objectives

  • Identify and analyze the interpersonal and situational factors that create obstacles to achieving a high level of performance and that cause unproductive conflicts
  • Assess the impact that your practices and style have on your ability to achieve the results expected of you and on the satisfaction you gain from your work
  • Assess your effectiveness at resolving conflicts
  • Identify steps you can take to improve performance by strengthening your working relationships with others, recommending procedural or system improvements and using conflict resolution styles effectively

 

Course Description and Topics

Conflict can be a catalyst for positive change.  Participants will learn knowledge, skills and abilities to improve effectiveness at handling conflict.  The course will identify and analyze the situational factors which cause unproductive conflict, assess interpersonal practices and styles, and identify steps that can be taken to improve performance.
