EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2007
Effective July 1, 2007, Catalyst Rx will provide pharmacy benefits for all state of Ohio employees enrolled in a health plan, regardless of which plan.
Visit Catalyst Rx’s Web site at www.catalystrx.com to view the preferred drug list and to use tools that can help you
search for generic equivalents to brand-name drugs so you pay the lowest copayments. You’ll also be able to compare drug costs to
maximize savings, check your prescription drug history, research your prescription drugs and learn much more about your medications. The preferred drug list applies to both retail and mail-order prescriptions. After you login, the Catalyst Rx website is customized for state of Ohio employees.
If, before July 1, 2007, you were taking a preferred brand medication that is non-preferred on the Catalyst Rx preferred drug list, you will be able to continue taking that medication at the preferred brand copay through December 31, 2007. After that you will be required to pay the non-preferred brand copay. If this affects you, you may wish to discuss your medication options with your physician prior to December 31st.
Beginning July 1, 2007, Ohio Med enrollees may again utilize CVS and Walgreens for their retail prescription needs.
