Types of Lost Time Compensation

The three most common types of lost time compensation are:

  • Temporary total compensation, which provides benefits if you cannot work while you are recovering from a work-related injury or illness.

  • Living maintenance compensation, which provides benefits while you are in a certified rehabilitation program.

  • Wage loss compensation, which provides benefits if your injury forces you to take a job earning less than you were earning at your date of injury or if you return to work part-time.

Contact the Bureau of Workers' Compensation to learn more about the types of compensation, and decide which one is appropriate for your situation.
