Lifetime Maximum

A lifetime maximum for disability leave benefits will take effect July 1, 1998. All disability leave you have ever received under all disability claims will be added toward your lifetime maximum. If you have more than the lifetime maximum associated with your number of years of service, you will stop receiving benefits July 1, 1998. The chart below shows the lifetime maximum based on years of service with the state:
