RENT CERTIFICATION FORM
Section
125.28 of the Ohio Revised Code states that each state agency supported by
non-general revenue funds is required to reimburse the general revenue fund or
the building management fund for the cost of space in an OBA facility or a DAS
facility in the ratio that the occupied space in each facility attributable to
such non-general revenue funds bears to the total space occupied by the state
agency in that facility. Please note that the cost of any warehouse space occupied
in the General Services facility (4200 Surface Road) is not subject to this provision and must be
reimbursed in full.
DAS polls agency tenants every two years to determine
what portion of occupied space is funded by non-general revenue funds. This is
done by mailing a rent certification letter to each tenant agency's fiscal officer.
The completed letter is used as justification for adjusting quarterly rent bills
to reflect the appropriate level of non-general revenue funding. If your
agency's ratio of non-general revenue funding has changed recently you can notify
DAS by completing a new rent certification letter on line and submitting it to
the General Services Division Business Office. Business Office personnel will
contact you by phone to confirm the change prior to updating the records. To complete
a new letter, click on the link below. After filling in the form, you may either
save it to your PC and then e-mail it to us, or simply print the form and fax
it. Rent
