State Architect's Office publishes
new manual

The State Architect's Office recently published a new guide for members of the design and construction industry.

The SAO Manual -- A Management Guide for Ohio Capital Improvements is available on the SAO Web site, www.ohio.gov/sao. It replaces the Design and Construction Handbook for Design Professionals, Construction Managers, Owners published in July 1994.

The format of the new document is somewhat different from the previous version, but the intent is the same: to foster consistency of practice and process in all state-funded capital improvement projects.

The manual will continue to be updated with Web links and additional exhibits and other information.
