State Printing FY06 rates OK’d
--GSD Office of State Printing, October 2005
Rising oil costs have driven up the cost for paper and
other printing supplies, but State Printing Administrator
Joe Tucker said the office will be able to hold the line on
charges for color copies at 10 cents per copy this fiscal year
thanks to heavy demand for this service by state agencies.
The office remains committed to delivering the most affordable
printing for state government. Its Web site, located at
http://das.ohio.gov/gsd/prt/Prt.html,
features a chart showing how state agencies
can save time and money when they rely on
DAS copy centers instead of competitors
in the private sector.
Technological advances will help State Printing keep
prices affordable. In the coming months, the office will
shift offset printing jobs to digital color copiers.
This will provide a wider range of options for color printing,
reduce production costs and help control printing costs in the future.
