Fixed Asset Management changes name to Asset Management Services

The Office of Fixed Asset Management recently changed its name to Asset Management Services to better reflect the breadth of services it provides.

The office provides policies, support, training and systems to assist agencies with maintaining and reporting all assets, not just fixed assets.

Fixed assets, which are now more commonly known as capital assets, include assets of significant value as set by the Office of Budget and Management, such as land, buildings, infrastructure, machinery and equipment. The office also provides the same services to agencies for their other assets that cost or are valued at a much lower dollar amount than fixed assets.
