DAS blood drive schedule announced for 2008

The American Red Cross is in need of donated blood and you can help by participating in one or more of this year’s 10 DAS-sponsored blood drives, which benefit the central Ohio region of the American Red Cross.

The DAS-sponsored Rhodes Tower blood drive schedule is:
  • March 18
  • May 28
  • August – To be announced
  • December – To be announced
 The General Services Division blood drive dates are:
  • Feb. 20
  • April 16
  • July 1
  • Aug. 27
  • Oct. 22
  • Dec. 17

DAS-sponsored blood drives will be held in the Rhodes Tower Blood Donor Center, which is located on the 18th floor, and at the General Services Division headquarters, 4200 Surface Road, Columbus.

Appointments may be scheduled between 9 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.

According to the central Ohio Red Cross Web site almost anyone can donate blood as long as he or she is in good health and weighs at least 110 pounds.
