The next meeting of the School Employees Health Care Board will be a joint meeting with the Public Schools Health Care Advisory Committee and will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 20 at the Ohio School Boards Association. The meeting agenda includes a final report from Mercer, who is studying the feasibility of pooling health care for public school employees. The nine-member board,
which is also appointed by Governor Taft, House Speaker Husted and
Senate President Harris, is responsible for studying the feasibility
of providing pooled health care benefits for K-12 public school employees.
The committee is an 18-member body appointed by Governor Bob Taft,
House Speaker Jon Husted and Senate President Bill Harris to advise the
School Employees Health Care Board.
