FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dec. 8, 2006 PUBLIC NOTICE
The next meeting of the Public Schools Health Care Advisory Committee will be a joint meeting with the School Employees Health Care Board and will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 13 at the Ohio School Boards Association. The meeting agenda includes an update from Mercer, who is studying the feasibility of pooling health care for public school employees.
The committee is an 18-member body appointed by Governor Bob Taft,
House Speaker Jon Husted and Senate President Bill Harris to advise
the School Employees Health Care Board.
The nine-member board, which is also appointed by Governor
Taft, House Speaker Husted and Senate President Harris, is responsible
for studying the feasibility of providing pooled health care benefits
for K-12 public school employees.
