STATE TO HOST SURPLUS PROPERTY AUCTION
SATURDAY, NOV. 4, 2006

(Columbus) -- The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) will host a state surplus property auction Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 at 4200 Surface Road, Columbus.

Gates will open at 8 a.m. The auction will begin at 9 a.m. Only cash and credit cards will be accepted. Full payment will be required on the day of the auction. Items up for bid will include:

  • Commercial kitchen equipment
  • Office furniture
  • Radar units, radios and antennas
  • Computers and printers
  • Televisions, camcorders and videotape recorders
  • Hand and power tools
  • Riding lawn mowers
  • Miscellaneous items including knives and scissors

Surplus property auctions permit the public to purchase quality goods that state agencies no longer need. State surplus auctions have generated more than
$ 1.3 million to date in FY 07.
