News Release Ohio Department of Administrative Services Bob Taft, Governor  Carol Nolan Drake, Director FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Oct. 27, 2006 STATE TO HOST SURPLUS PROPERTY AUCTION SATURDAY, NOV. 4, 2006 (Columbus) -- The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) will host a state surplus property auction Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 at 4200 Surface Road, Columbus. Gates will open at 8 a.m. The auction will begin at 9 a.m. Only cash and credit cards will be accepted. Full payment will be required on the day of the auction. Items up for bid will include: Commercial kitchen equipment Office furniture Radar units, radios and antennas Computers and printers Televisions, camcorders and videotape recorders Hand and power tools Riding lawn mowers Miscellaneous items including knives and scissors Surplus property auctions permit the public to purchase quality goods that state agencies no longer need. State surplus auctions have generated more than $ 1.3 million to date in FY 07.
