PUBLIC NOTICE

What: Public Schools Health Care Advisory Committee
When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 26, 2006
Where: Ohio School Boards Association
  8050 N. High St., Columbus

The next meeting of the Public Schools Health Care Advisory Committee will be a joint meeting with the School Employees Health Care Board and will be held on Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ohio School Boards Association. The agenda will include testimony from interested parties and a legislative update.

The committee is an 18-member body appointed by Governor Bob Taft, House Speaker Jon Husted and Senate President Bill Harris to advise the School Employees Health Care Board.  

The nine-member board, which is also appointed by Governor Taft, House Speaker Husted and Senate President Harris, is responsible for studying the feasibility of providing pooled health care benefits for K-12 public school employees.
