STATE TO HOLD SURPLUS VEHICLE
AUCTION, Oct. 14

(Columbus) -- The Ohio Department of Administrative Services will hold a state surplus vehicle auction on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 4200 Surface Road, Columbus.

Gates will open at 8 a.m. The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Vehicles may be inspected Oct. 10 through Oct. 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and started only on Oct. 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Approximately 200 cars, trucks, 4X4’s and vans will be up for bid including the following models:
  • Chevrolet Cavalier, Lumina, Corsica and Impala
  • Ford Taurus and Crown Victoria
  • Dodge Plymouth Breeze
  • Ford F150 trucks
  • Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford 4X4’s
  • Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford vans
  • Miscellaneous items including motorcycles and tractors

Cash, cashiers check, business and personal checks will be accepted if accompanied by an irrevocable bank letter of credit to guarantee payment.

Surplus property auctions permit the public to purchase quality goods that state agencies no longer need and generated more than $690,847 during fiscal year 2007.
