State Surplus Auction Saturday, Aug. 4 Highway Patrol Seized Jewelry Among Items
(Columbus) – Office equipment, computers, electronics, and a European foot spa are
among items to be auctioned by the state of Ohio on Aug. 4.
The sale will be held at 4200 Surface Rd., Columbus.
Doors open at 8 a.m. The auction begins at 9 a.m.
Unique items at this Saturday’s auction include jewelry
seized by law enforcement. Rings, watches, necklaces, and earrings are among the items.
The jewelry will be auctioned at noon. Other unique items:
- Lawn equipment
- Sail boats
- Welding carts
- CPR dummies
- A urinal
State agencies have declared the vehicles and other items surplus to their needs.
They will be individually sold to the highest bidder.
The sale will be conducted by Cassel & Associates of Worthington.
State surplus property is managed by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services.
In fiscal year 2007, $3.44 million was earned by the state through surplus property and automobile auctions.
All items sold must be picked up by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8. All sales are final.
Cash and credit cards are accepted. All methods of payment other than these must be approved by Cassel & Associates.
