The auction will be held at the DAS General Services Division, 4200 Surface Road, Columbus. Gates open at 8 a.m. The auction begins at 10 a.m. The sale will be conducted by Cassel & Associates. State agencies have declared the vehicles and other items surplus to their needs. They will be individually sold to the highest bidder. Included in Saturday’s sale will be several former Ohio Highway Patrol cruisers, several 4x4 pickup trucks, a 1965 Kaiser dump truck, several vans and a 22-foot inboard/outboard boat with a V-6 engine. So far this fiscal year, which ends June 30, DAS has brought more than $3.4 million back to state agencies through surplus auctions. For more information, the public may visit: www.ohio.gov/surplus.
