The auction will be held at the DAS General Services Division, 4200 Surface Road, Columbus. Gates open at 8 a.m. The auction begins at 10 a.m. The sale will be conducted by Cassel & Associates. State agencies have declared the vehicles and other items surplus to their needs. They will be individually sold to the highest bidder. Included in Saturday’s sale will be several former Ohio Highway Patrol cruisers, a 2001 Lincoln Navigator, a 1999 Cadillac Escalade, and a 2000 Bayliner, 21-foot trophy boat with motors. Most of the vehicles auctioned are formerly part of the highway patrol fleet or items seized during law enforcement operations. For more information, the public may visit: www.ohio.gov/surplus.
