The next meeting of the School Employees Health Care Board will be a joint meeting with the Public Schools Health Care Advisory Committee and will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 10 at the Ohio School Boards Association.
The agenda will include a discussion of the final Mercer report, which examined the feasibility of pooling health care for public school employees. Members also will work on the Board's report to the General Assembly and governor, which is due by Jan. 31, 2007.
The nine-member board is appointed to study the feasibility of providing pooled health care benefits for K-12 public school employees. The committee is an 18-member body appointed to advise the School Employees Health Care Board.
