WHAT
WE DO
The
Policy Development Office performs a variety of functions, some
of which include:
-
Providing
technical assistance and support to various state agencies regarding
the application of employment laws and regulations;
-
Tracking
legislation and regulatory changes impacting state employment
practices;
-
Providing
training and updates to state agency HR professionals on employment
law issues;
-
Working
on legislation and regulations;
-
Reviewing,
evaluating, and making recommendations to the Director of DAS
regarding exempt parity requests from state agencies;
-
Providing
internal legal support to the Human Resources Division.
