A special enrollment will be held from October 31 – November 18 for employees to enroll in the Health Care Spending Account, Dependent Care Spending Account or Long Term Care.

FedEx will deliver a special enrollment brochure to agencies beginning Friday, October 14. The delivery process should be completed by Wednesday, October 19. Please alert your shipping/receiving personnel. These should be distributed to employees on or before October 28. The brochure explains the three programs, who is eligible and how to enroll.

FlexSave, the vendor for the Health Care Spending Account will mail their own brochure to employee homes the week of October 24 so they arrive prior to October 31. Employees should be aware that there is a $2.25 monthly pre-tax administrative fee for Health Care Spending Accounts.

None of these programs require agency intervention for enrollment. Beginning October 31, interested employees may contact:

www.das.ohio.gov/employeebenefits and click on Health Care Spending Account. CORRECTION: The phone number in the October Pathways is incorrect. Employees should call the above number to enroll in the Health Care Spending Account.

Dependent Care Spending Account, 1-800-409-1205 and on the Web at
www.das.ohio.gov/employeebenefits and click on Dependent Assistance.

Long Term Care, 1-800-537-8521, and on the Web at
www.aetna.com/group/stateofohio.

Representatives from FlexSave, Aetna Long Term Care and the Dependent Care Spending Account will be available to answer questions but because of limited resources only at some of the larger state buildings. Additionally, Aetna will provide one-on-one or group long term care (LTC) presentations as shown.
