Human Resources Academy (HRA)

The state of Ohio Human Resources Academy (HRA) is a comprehensive human resources certificate program that provides targeted learning opportunities to address the needs of supervisors, managers and human resource professionals within government.  Precisely, enrollment in the program is geared toward those eligible learners who remain interested in obtaining a more in-depth understanding of the role of human resources and its relationship to employee productivity and organizational effectiveness. It provides the knowledge base and capacity building skills necessary to operate efficiently and effectively within Ohio government and to make the best use of our human capital.

Ohio Certified Public Manager Program (OCPM)

The Ohio Certified Public Manager program is a nationally accredited, comprehensive management training program. This professional credential and designation exemplifies nationally recognized standards for excellence in public management and leadership.


Professional Administrative Support Services (PASS)

The programs are designed with the administrative and project support employees learning needs in mind.  The PASS program series targets core skills, knowledge and abilities which will help you learn and grow within your current job, or prepare you for your future job!

Project Management - Level I (PM1) Level II (PM2)

In this program, you will build skills critical to project management, leadership and other core management competencies. This program is designed for employees from all levels of state, county and local government in general leadership, project/program management or other paraprofessional levels with or without direct reports. This program will assist you in preparing for the PMI-PMP examination.

The program offers additional educational benefits to state employees who are exempt from collective bargaining.

The OCSEA/AFSCME Local 11 provides education and training opportunities for OCSEA state bargaining unit employees.
