Lane J. Beougher, AIA, CSI, LEED-AP
Special Services Manager
Special Services Manager Lane Beougher joined the State Architect's Office in December 2005 bringing over 25 years of facilities planning, architectural design, specifications preparation, and construction administration experience to the office. Prior to joining SAO, he was a senior project architect with an AIA Ohio Gold Medal winning firm, and graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science in architecture.
Lane is involved with the American Institute of Architects and currently serves as president-elect of its Columbus Chapter. He previously served as co-chair of the Architectural Awareness Committee, Government Affairs Director, Advocacy Director, secretary and treasurer. In 2002, he was one of 15 architects selected to participate in the AIA Leadership Institute at Georgetown University and received the AIA Ohio Public Service Award in 2004.
Lane also is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and served eight years on the Columbus Chapter Board. He holds professional certifications in writing construction specifications and construction contract administration. Formerly a member of the MasterFormat Implementation Task Team and the Institute Technical Committee, he now serves on the Institute Board of Directors and Audit Committee.
Lane was a member of Reynoldsburg City Council for nearly six years, served as Council President Pro Tempore and chaired its Safety and Community Development Committees. He also represented the city on the West Licking Joint Fire District Board. Lane was involved in community projects including his church's education wing, the administration building for Reynoldsburg City Schools, the Fire District Headquarters and a skate park ranked by Columbus Monthly magazine as the best place in Central Ohio to "pull an ollie."
