Smokefree Workplace Update:

Since the enactment of the Smokefree Workplace Act there have been a number of inquiries as to whether or not the ashtrays need to be removed from state vehicles. It has been a longstanding fleet policy that smoking is not permitted in state vehicles. At the present time removal of the ashtrays is not required. The rules for implementing the Smokefree Workplace Act are being written by the Department of Health. If the final rulemaking requires the removal of the ashtrays notification will be sent to the agencies.
