Biography
Wiley H. Clodfelder
Deputy
Director and State EEO Coordinator

Mr.
Clodfelder joined the Equal Opportunity Division on April 17, 2000
bringing with him impressive credentials in law, state government,
business and management. Most of his adult life has been spent in
Columbus, Ohio. After receiving an undergraduate degree from Ohio
State University in 1962 Mr. Clodfelder entered the Air Force via
the Officer Training School at Lackland, AFB, in Abilene, Texas.
Mr. Clodfelder served as an Air Craft Engineering Officer for several
years with various units state side. Most notably his last tour
of active duty was as an Advisor to the South Vietnamese Air Force
Wing at Ben Hoa, AFB in 1968. Mr. Clodfelder retired from the military
in 1986 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He received
a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University
in 1972. During this time he was employed by the Ohio Department
of Development as a Planner.
Mr. Clodfelder
served as the Senior Budget Analyst for the City of Columbus Department
of Finance from 1973 to 1976.
His next position
brought him back to the Ohio Department of Development where he
was employed from 1976 to 1983 as the first Deputy Director of the
Minority Business Development Division.
He received
his law degree from Capital University Law School in 1983. During
his first year of law practice, Mr. Clodfelder assumed the role
as Attorney for the Columbus and Franklin County Private Industry
Council. Mr. Clodfelder was named Executive Director of the Columbus
and Franklin County Private Industry Council from 1984 to 1987.
Mr. Clodfelder
maintained a private law practice in Columbus from 1983 to April
2000 when he joined Department of Administrative Services in his
present position.
