OIT launches Web site
-- Office of Information Technology, July 2004

The Office of Information Technology has created a Web site to better serve its customers.

The new Web site, located at http://oit.ohio.gov, was developed as a communication vehicle for disseminating information about the Office of Information Technology to state and local government agencies, state IT professionals, IT suppliers and the general public.

State Chief Information Officer Greg Jackson hopes that visitors find the Web site to be a valuable informational tool as the Office of Information Technology moves forward.

The front page displays recent news articles and security alerts. In addition, the site incorporates a few dynamic features such as weekly IT tips, featured IT initiatives from agencies throughout the state, notification of security threats as well as ongoing news about OIT.

In addition, visitors also will have the ability to sign up for an OIT Alert Notification service which will send registrants an e-mail whenever a new Statewide IT Policy, critical cyber or homeland security threat is issued or notification of a press release.

The dynamic organizational chart allows visitors to find an employee within the Table of Organization as well as search for their e-mail address and phone number.

If you discover any discrepancies or errors, please report them to Rico Singleton, OIT technical advisor, at rico.singleton@ohio.gov.
