Virtual private network established

To heighten security, IT Service Delivery established a virtual private network for 20 cabinet agencies and the Ohio.gov network.

A more secure data transport was established by installing routers and firewalls. The virtual private network was created at the recommendation of the State of Ohio Security Task Force to increase the protection of computer assets from cyber terrorism.
