DAS HR Conference set for April 8

State and county human resources professionals are invited to attend the DAS Human Resources Conference on April 8 at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, Columbus.

The conference is designed for HR administrators and managers, legal counsel and officials involved in labor relations, EEO, payroll and training programs.
The purpose is to provide continuing education for HR personnel and to enhance communication between the
DAS Human Resources Division and its customers.

The theme of this year's conference is "Human Resources, the Catalyst for All Systems." Topics will include benefits open enrollment changes, classification and compensation reform, training initiatives, military leave and use of information technology to support HR needs.

The keynote speaker will be Fegan D. Stackhouse, president of the International Personnel Management Association for Human Resources and director of human resources for the City of Virginia Beach, Va.
