Interior Design works on
293 projects
-- GSD Office of State Printing and Standards, July 2003

Interior Design Services, a section of the State Architect's Office, participated in 293 projects during the biennium. Of these, 124 projects were in Ohio Building Authority buildings; 121 projects in DAS-owned and -operated buildings; 19 projects in Ohio Department of Transportation buildings; and 34 projects in commercial lease spaces.

Projects in leased sites included the design of lab space for the Ohio Department of Health facility in Valleyview; the Ohio Department of Commerce spaces in Reynoldsburg, which included the Ohio Fire Academy; design work for an Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction building in Orient to house the Bureau of Sentence Computation; and the consolidation of six sites into one for the Ohio Attorney General in downtown Columbus.

Projects in DAS buildings included work related to the renovation of the North High Street Complex. Designers assessed and calculated future square footage allocations and assigned space allocations for every tenant in the complex for the periods during and after the renovation of the facility, which is slated to be completed in 2011. Many other smaller projects were designed and implemented in DAS and Ohio Building Authority facilities.
