Nominees sought for MLK awards

Nominations are being sought for the Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission 2004 Awards.

The awards program recognizes Ohio residents and organizations who have served and achieved in areas consistent with the teachings and examples of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The awards are as follows:

 
  Governor's Humanitarian Award  
  Community Building  
  Cultural Awareness  
  Economic Opportunity  
  Educational Excellence  
  Health Equity and Awareness  
  Social Justice  
  Youth: Capturing the Vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The awards will be presented Jan. 15 during the 2004 observance of King's birthday held at Trinity Episcopal Church, downtown Columbus.
