MLK Commemorative Celebration slated

The 19th annual Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 15 at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at the southeast corner of Third and Broad streets in downtown Columbus.

Governor Bob Taft and Lt. Governor Jennette Bradley will speak as well as four youths who will share their winning speeches from the 2003 Ohio MLK Oratorical Contest. Several Ohioans will receive awards for practicing and supporting King's principles of non-violence.

The event is sponsored by Taft and the Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission. The theme of the event will be "Unity through Diversity."
