DAS has consolidated the two procurement Web sites maintained by the Office of Acquisition Management and Office of Procurement Services to make it easier for state agencies to locate contract information regarding goods and services.
Ohio.gov/procure serves as a one-stop shop for buying goods and services that are under DAS contracts. The new Web site replaces two sites that received more than 3 million requests combined last year.
"We will no longer maintain one Web site for buying and selling general supplies and another for technology-related transactions," DAS Director Scott Johnson said. "Everything is listed under our new single address for state procurement. That's going to make the procurement process more convenient for everyone."
The new Web site not only
serves state agencies, but also local governments enrolled in Ohio's Cooperative
Purchasing Program as well as private vendors. The consolidated site is
interactive, enabling visitors to post questions and receive answers online
about state opportunities. Current contracts and some previous contracts also
are listed as a research tool for agencies and vendors.

This portion of the DAS eNewsCenter is for state procurement customers.
