Strategic plan provides roadmap
for electronic government

The Governor's Council on Electronic Commerce, led by the Ohio chief information officer, released its comprehensive strategic plan during fiscal year 2002 to offer state services and commercial information through the latest digital technology.

The plan serves as a "road map" for use in implementation of Ohio's e-government and business systems and the procurement of the technology needed to support those systems. The plan calls for state agencies to provide as much information and as many government services as feasible on the Internet.
