The state of Ohio has negotiated pricing from Dell, HP and Lenovo for product offerings that support the state standards for PCs and servers. Ohio has also negotiated pricing with the manufacturers for maintenance of HP and Cisco devices. Enterprise contracts with these suppliers are expected to save agencies a substantial amount of money as they procure the products and services they need.

Product Purchases
The resources listed below will help you identify products for purchase and, in some cases, do price comparisons. In addition, you will be able to determine an appropriate procurement vehicle and resellers that can assist you with your purchases.
The statewide enterprise buys are required for all state agencies and available to all local government entities registered through the co-op program. Additional information can be found at http://procure.ohio.gov and http://das.ohio.gov/CooperativePurchasing.
Maintenance Purchases
Maintenance agreements with Cisco and HP provide significant volume discounts by aggregating all state agency purchases. Highlights of the contracts are given below.
At this time, discounts under these agreements are available only to state of Ohio agencies.
Cisco Enterprise Maintenance Agreement. The Cisco Enterprise Agreement offers Ohio agencies a minimum discount of 25 percent. Cisco also guarantees that it will not raise the price of the agreement for the second year of the two-year period, FY 12-13. Agencies receive MBE credit for purchases under this agreement.
HP Enterprise Maintenance Contract. The basic master maintenance agreement (MMA) between Ohio and HP Direct, MMA #7145, affords a discount of 17 percent, along with a pre-payment discount of 4 percent. Under the new Enterprise Maintenance Contract, HP looks at all of Ohio's agencies as one "site" and offers additional discounts of up to 18 percent. These discounts are based on a sliding scale and provide a potential total discount on HP maintenance of up to 39 percent to all state of Ohio agencies. Discounts are reviewed annually.
As an agency's existing maintenance plan expires, the agency can be rolled onto the MMA. To participate in this initiative, send a list of the items to be quoted for maintenance to the HP contact below and copy state.itstandards.manager@oit.ohio.gov. Be sure to note that the amount should be quoted under MMA #7145.
