Project Success Center
The Project Success Center (PSC) is the state of Ohio’s enterprise IT Project Management Office and provides Project Management Office services to the DAS Office of Information Technology. A primary objective of the Project Success Center is to increase IT project management capabilities and maturity across the state in order to drive increasing success in project execution. The Project Success Center accomplishes this mission in a variety of ways.
The Project Success Center serves as the DAS Office of Information Technology’s Project Management Office. In this capacity, the Project Success Center provides a pool of qualified Project Managers to manage projects for DAS and OIT. Typical engagements include infrastructure rollouts and upgrades, services development and implementation, and systems integration and implementation projects. The Project Success Center approaches its project management engagements using a Program and Project Management Practice which includes the use of a project management tool, AtTask, configured to enable the Practice. The Project Success Center’s Program and Project Management Practice, and AtTask, are focused on core and fundamental program and project management principles and practices that are applicable to a wide array of project types, project management approaches, and implementation strategies. The Project Success Center offers its Program and Project Management Practice, including AtTask, to other agencies with a need for a structured, fundamentals-based, customizable approach for managing projects.
As the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Project Success Center provides guidance, resources, and project management consulting services to agencies. The Project Success Center is responsible for the management and maintenance of the State’s Project Management Community of Practice, or PMCOP, whose resources, tools and templates are used by a variety of state agencies. The Project Success Center offers a Project Partnering program which provides advisory, strategy, and contract related consulting services to large enterprise projects, such as the Department of Taxation’s STARS project. The Project Success Center also offers Project Assessment services which entail evaluation of an agency’s existing project for compliance or adherence to requirements, along with consultation and recommendations for resolving existing issues and avoiding potential future challenges.
