This unit manages the Ohio Hiring Management System (OHMS). It provides resources, support and consultation to agency Human Resources (HR) professionals and job seekers, regarding the on-line hiring and application processes. This unit is also responsible for collecting information on recruitment practices, employment trends and wages, and responding to salary surveys.
Maintains and monitors OHMS Website, which lists all current state government job openings and civil service test announcements.
Develops training resources and provides consultation to agency HR recruitment staff on the effective use of OHMS recruitment and applicant tracking tools.
Responds to e-mail and telephone inquiries from job seekers regarding the State of Ohio 's hiring and on-line application processes.
Collects and evaluates information related to recruitment practices, employment trends and wages.
Provides State of Ohio salary and staffing data to national compensation data service organizations and other state governments, as requested.
