Prescription Copays
An easy way to save money is to utilize generic medications rather than brand-name medications. See the chart below to compare the copays for the various levels of drugs, and visit the Catalyst Rx Web site to determine which level a specific medication falls under. While comparing costs of medications, you also can learn more about each specific medication.

Click here to view the Prescription Drug Benefits chart.

* Please note that the amount charged to the individual for Generic, Preferred Brand and Non-Preferred Brand medications will not be greater than the actual cost of the medication. Therefore, the amount charged for Generic, Preferred Brand and Non-Preferred Brand may be less than the flat-dollar copay.
**A multi-source brand-name drug is a brand-name medication that is produced and available through multiple manufacturers and also has a therapeutically equivalent generic alternative available. Under certain circumstances, requiring medical documentation, these penalties may be waived.

Prescription drug copays do not apply toward Your annual out-of-pocket maximum.

Pocket Formulary/Preferred Drug List
The Pocket Formulary is a condensed version of the Catalyst Rx Incentive Formulary. Please be aware that this is not an all-inclusive list. Changes may occur throughout the year and plan exclusions may override this list. Benefit designs may vary with respect to drug coverage, quantity limits, step therapy, days supply and prior authorization.

Coverage
Employees receive a Catalyst Rx identification card, which must be presented at the prescription drug when filling prescriptions. You must use your Catalyst Rx card to receive prescriptions - you will not be able to purchase medications with your health plan ID card.

For a full list of what's covered under your prescription drug benefit, click here to go to the Catalyst Rx Website.

Comparing The Costs of Medications
Want to save some money? Catalyst Rx offers a variety of Web-based features intended to put you in touch with valuable health and prescription drug benefit information. Through www.catalystrx.com, you can review your plan’s benefits, locate a participating pharmacy, view and print your prescription history, and more.

In addition, Catalyst Rx’s online drug pricing tool, Catalyst Price & Save, can save you money by comparing the price of your prescriptions at local retail pharmacies and through mail service. This allows you to shop for the most competitively priced pharmacy to obtain your prescription and helps save you money. Unlike other drug pricing tools, Catalyst Price & Save identifies the lowest priced pharmacies without bias, enabling you to become a fully informed consumer.
