OEAP Advisory Committee

Purpose
The OEAP Advisory Committee serves to help improve the quality of work life for employees of the State of Ohio. The Committee meets with and advises the OEAP management team. The Committee reviews the program functions and discusses specific strategies for improving access for employees.

Level of Involvement
The OEAP Advisory Committee members are not involved in any activities requiring direct contact with employees who seek services through OEAP. In order to ensure confidentiality, Committee members are not aware of clients who maybe using the program, nor are members provided with information that will compromise the confidentiality and privacy of a client.
Representatives from various agencies, institutions, unions and labor-management meet at the office of the OEAP every quarter to discuss program issues and strategies in conjunction with OEAP management; also members receives program update reports at each meeting. Additional meetings may be held to follow up and evaluate the strategies, if necessary.

OEAP Advisory Committee’s Responsibilities
The following are the major responsibilities of the committee members:
1) Review established policy to ensure agreement and understanding of procedures and practices.
2) Develop and recommend changes in program policy as necessary after receiving input from interested parties.
3) Develop strategies in conjunction with the OEAP management team.
4) Promoted and ensure that employees are aware of the OEAP.
5) Review utilization trend reports and provide input on the evaluation of the program.
6) Prepare a report on the activities of the committee as deemed necessary or required.
